I teach at a community college, and my bag works as my rolling desk! I love it. The only thing I would change is adding a water bottle mesh pocket for my Bean Canteen! The wheels are incredible and roll with easy, the fabric is strong and stays clean, and the pockets are big enough to hold my laptop! Worth every penny!
This rolling backpack is well made and very sturdy but it is really appropriate only to be used for rolling. There are straps for optional carrying, which my son likes to do when he gets off the bus instead of bumping it down the steps of the bus. The weight of the frame added to the huge amount of books he has to carry makes it very hard to use as a backpack.
The fabric lip that covers the zipper also got jammed in the zipper and the backpack only zips from one side. This happened with less than a year's worth of use.
I am very busy mom of 4 and I have decided to go back to school for a degree in Nursing. My back was hurting very bad from the load of books I have to carry. I did a lot of research and decided on this one. I am glad that I did. I love it. I am able to carry 3 large books and 3 ring binders. Plus all my pencils, pens, etc. Great investment.
This is one of the nicest backpacks I have ever purchased. Quality is top notch and features are great.....such as the fact that the carrying straps in the back can be detached at the bottom and be easily placed in the pocket back there (straps still attached at top), closed easily with a velcro in the middle, and preventing the straps from rubbing or dragging on the ground and getting all ruined (ripped, soiled etc.) when the backpack is used as a rolling pack on a steep angle, as is what happened to most of my daughter's other backpacks. The rest of the backpack is extremely roomy and zippers operate nicely. Wheels are substantial and strong (although I'd love to see rubber wheels rather than plastic, but the plastic does seem heavy and sufficient), and the handle mechanism is nicer than most with a special button to operate it at different height adjustments too. I misjudged a little on the size of this for my petite 9 year old girl but when she saw the backpack she loved it so much she insisted it it was a fine fit :-) Well it's not too bad, she will probably grow into it in a week, they grow so fast you know :-) The monogram is done very well too. We bought the black backpack with the silver monogram....very sharp! (black will stay cleaner longer too, even though this fabric DOES seem to be high quality and would probably shed dirt easily.) All in all a spectacular backpack sure to please you. We are extremely pleased with this purchase, I can't say enough about it. If I could rate it TEN stars I would!
