I bought this backpack for my 10 year old daughter for school after the one I bought last year started to fall apart by October. It still looks brand new after almost 6 months of dragging it back and forth to school in rain and snow. It is big enough for all of her books, gym clothes, shoes and lunchbox. I only wish there was an outside water bottle pocket. I was a little nervous about the price at first, but it turned out to be worth every penny.
Purchased these for my two older grandchildren (5 and 7) for bringing their clothing and gear for overnight visits. Seem to be very well made and they love being able to pull their own packs. These seem to be a higher quality than the book packs I've seen locally in our stores.
This is the perfect backpack for upper elementary kids who lug a 3-ring binder, several heavy books, and a lunch box to school. The rolling backpack can surely take a load off a young child. It has a compartment large enough to hold 2-3 school books and a zipper binder. It also has a second compartment which is perfect for an LLBean lunch box or jacket. It is perfectly equipped with several zipper pockets for pens, pencils, snacks, etc. This is a "must have" backpack for older elementary kids!!
