I bought it for my ten years old, and found the handle is too short for her. It is also hard for her to carry it onto the school bus because there is no top grab handles.
This is just a great backpack. I ordered it for my second grader, and he loves it too. Despite what some of the other reviewers said I did not find the handle to be too short for him. The shipping was exactly as promised, and I am overall extremely happy with the purchase!
I ordered this backpack for my 5 year old who's in kindergarden. She's 4 feet tall & weighs 48 pounds. I ordered it on the 17th & got it on the 24th, however, I also had her name put on it & there was a weekend in there so it did come between 2-5 days which was nice! Cute backpack, but a bit big for her. The straps are a bit far apart for her shoulders - it engulfs her quite a bit! It will be perfect for her when she's in first grade I think. It rolls well & the pull out handle is a perfect length for a "youth".
We purchased the backpack in 'chamo red' and our son thought it was cool. However after 3 weeks of school it's apparent that the handle is far too short for him. Other than this the backpacks construction and quality are top notch. I would recommend that LLB have different size backpacks - not for just grades or amount of books but for the height of the children/adults. Our son is in 6th grade and stands 4'11" and the handle is too short for him. Bottom line is that we will be ordering another backpack - We just hope that that LLB has one that has a longer handle.
