I recently purchased this rolling pack for my 6 year old daughter. We're pleased with the quality but have a few comments for those considering it. (1) We find it rather small. My daughter is at summer day camp presently and we really work to get in a lunch bag, bathing suit and towel, had, indoor shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.. (2) The lack of a good carrying handle is inconvenient. When the pack straps are tucked in (nice for avoiding premature wear from dragging) there's only a small cloth loop for picking the pack up and that's hard for us when we're getting it in and out of cars. (3) no external bottle holder means cold drinks go inside the pack where they sweat on books, clothes, etc.
We love this backpack! After buying two backpacks in two years, with the last one being held together the last few weeks of school with duct tape I ordered this one. It has been used for school, to carry stuff to national twirling competitons and overnights to new york city. After one year it still looks NEW! Well worth every penny I paid for it! I think she will grow too tall for it before it wears out!
I live in NYC. My son walks 4 long blocks to school each day. I bought the bag when he was going into the third grade. He used it for 3rd and 4th grade, and it is STILL in excellent condition. It has been through rain and snow and general boy behavior. The ONLY reason I am getting him a new bag is because he's taller now (5') and the handle is getting to be a bit low. The bag would last another year, but due to the handle being a bit low and also the fact that he just wants a new design, I'm buying the bigger size.
I bought this product for my daughter. She has loved it. Not only has she used this as a rolling bookbag, but also wore with the straps. This bookbag was purchased for my daughter when she was entering 2nd grade. She is now going in the 4th grade with the bookbag in great shape. I am purchasing the next size up for her and another of the original for my son, who is going in the 2nd grade. GREAT PRODUCT and would recommend to anyone!
