My only complain is that the zipper gets continuously stuck with the flap, that's supposed to cover it, when opening and closing the book pack. I folded it back so my daughter's teacher didn't have to be opening it and closing it for her!
I purchased this back pack for my two kids who are in Grade 1 and 3. I wanted them to have a rolling backpack so as to ease the stress off their backs when walking home from school.
This backpack has a few problems... first you cannot have the shoulder straps down while pulling it along so you have to keep un clipping and clipping up the straps if you want to use it as a backpack otherwise the straps drag on the ground and get caught in the wheels.
Another thing is that it is really heavy for kids to carry on and off the bus or other places where they cannot use the pulling method. The handle is a little too short my kids are 6 and 8 and their feet sometimes get caught on the backpack while pulling it along. I will be using this backpack as a travel one from now on and will be looking at a regular lightweight backpack.
My daughter, age 6, wanted nothing but a rolling backpack for first grade. I am very happy this is the one I chose to purchase. The handle is adjustable so with her shorter stature she isn't dragging it across the ground like some of the others. It's roomy and easy for her to maneuver. Highly recommended!!
I purchased this backpack for my daughter when she was 8. It worked fine for a few months, then the retractable handle began to stick in the open position. Also, the upper portion of the plastic shield on the botton/rear has torn off at the stitch line. The zipper repeatedly sticks, getting stuck on the flap that is meant to conceal the zipper.
