My family is involved in sprint car racing and weather is always a factor in racing. This radio will alert us to severe weather so that we can react quickly in an emergency. Ordered the red one and love the bright color. We will use it all summer.
LOVE this radio, I have two. I made this purchase for my son who lives in Pocasset because he had difficulty receiving some of the Boston stations clearly. This radio was a hit. It also can be used in an emergency to charge his cell phone. Thumbs up!!
Works as advertised. A little tedious using the handcrank. The radio actually worked on nothing but the solar cell right out of the box. The built-in battery is a great idea. Easy to hookup, easy to replace when needed. Small enough to drop in a day pack or glove box. Might make a good gift for a backpacker.
