I gave this item to my boyfriend, who tested out all of its functions and really appreciated the versatility of the radio. He has it set to go off if there are any emergency weather alerts - he really likes that part - and will use it on his boat this summer. Really like it. bought four for my family. really like the potential ability to charge a cell phone by it, but we must purchase additional chord to be able to do that. Instructions are too basic, but their customer service is really good for supplying those small but critical points you need to know. Take the rechargeable battery out to have access to its chord and plug-in for the radio. (the battery comes disconnected :) )
