Emergency Weather Radio
PostedAugust 31, 2011
This handcrank or solar radio is excellent in an emergency. Not only does it light your your way when the electricity is out, but also the radio gives you emergency info and a place to charge your cell phone.
Everyone should have one in their emergency kit or charging on their shelf.

Compact and Functional Radio
PostedAugust 31, 2011
ProsGreat Value, Performing as Expected
We happened to buy this radio just in time for the recent hurricane Irene. We never lost electrical power, but were prepared just the same. Radio has many nice features, but should include the optional electrical charger.

Must-have for emergency weather info.
PostedAugust 30, 2011
ProsDurable
Reason for purchase: Numerous power outages as a result of tornado, micro-burst, severe t-storms, hurricane, etc.
Best feature: Automatic alert whenever a new watch/warning is posted.
Helpful features: Battery-op or solar, flashlight, weather + am/fm radio bands
Unused feature: Cell phone charger because to operate it, another part must be ordered separately.
For one more star: Longer use off of solar/winding charge would be helpful, a free (as opposed to order + pay separately) AC/DC adaptor included with purchase.

Love this Radio!!!

ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, definition of going green
I bought one of these for me and for a friend. Love that you can charge it in the sun. Have one already that you crank its a Grundig and I have used it for many years but it does not have the solar charging capability. Now I have two great radios and will never have a problem during bad weather and in Northern WI there is always snow and the possibility of power being out. Thanks for offering a great radio at such an affordable price with no S&H.
