It was a beneficial tool to have when there were storms and tornadoes in our remote location in Northern Michigan. We particularly liked the battery and crank options for power.
Disappointed with the item, but for the price will not send back. With lights, you can find the light switch, radio tuner, etc. However, If you are without lights, (as in a bad storm) the black dials with the red hashmarks make it almost impossible to set the adjustments for radio, light, siren, volume. You would have to have another flashlight available for you to read the settings (which are in very small print). Would like to have the light come on automatically, when the crank is turned, then give you the option to turn off. Black dials need to be improved or light up to select the options. When the crank is turned, yes, the light, radio and siren works.
