I wear a 6-6.5 depending on the brand. I bought these in a 6 since they don't have smaller sizes and they are definitely almost a size too big. I wish they came in a 5, but I will keep the 6 because overall the boot is very comfortable and warm. It should be passable with thicker socks.
The strong arch support and flexible sole are pretty rare to find in a snow boot. I have high-arches, so if the boot didn't have these, I would most definitely return them.
I have to echo previous reviewers complaints about the length of the laces. They are WAY to short!
A full gusseted tongue would have been a nice touch.
Overall these are very warm, quality boot but suffer from some minor design flaws. LL Bean could have a perfect snow boot if they made some minor design adjustments and fixed their sizing!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
My 18-year-old daughter asked for these for Christmas. I guess LLBean boots are now In. She loves them and finds them warm and very comfortable -- much nicer than the unlined version, in the winter. And we all know how long-lasting these boots are. I tell her she may well have them for the rest of her life. An excellent value and well worth the price.
