I'm middle age petite and very active. I have a slendor foot and wear size 8. These boots seemed like a 9. I tried the 7's but they didn't fit right. I wish they made half sizes. A 7 1/2 would have been perfect. The boots themselves are great all weather boots due to being waterproof and the shearling gives some padding and warmth. I did return these because the fit wasn't just right.

i absolutely love these boots... they are a classic and a must have in anyone's wardrobe... anyone who doesnt live in a tropical climate that is. Definitely make sure your sizing is accurate.. meaning if you plan to wear them with a heavier sock (thicker than a running sock), go a size down and you'll get the size right. llbean is a master at making these boots and i'll have these forever.
These lined boots are the perfect combination of warm, waterproof, comfortable and stylish. This classic is ideal for a good six months of the year in Northern New England where we face mud, ice and cold for far too long. I'm an 8.5 and the 8 fit me very well. I leave the boots untied and just slip them on as I head out the door. They're a bit pricey; I consider this an investment though and know that they should last for many years to come.

These boots have saved my life over the past few weeks. We've had a significant amount of snow, sleet and rain recently and I walk everywhere. Without my Bean boots I don't know what I would have done. They are warm & comfy. I ordered my normal size (and have a slightly wide foot) and they fit perfectly, even with a pair of thick socks. I did add an extra insert because I have high arches and that just makes them all the more wearable!
