Great Product. Glad to see still made in USA. Wish you had a woman doing the temperature ratings on clothing for women. As we all know a "28 year old man" will have a very different temperature rating than a woman. (Think about your hot hubby while you have freezing feet at night in bed ! )

Who would think twice about buying a pair of LLBean boots?? I bought these for my Mother because I have been wearing her pair (testament to the lifetime guarantee!) and she wears a 7.5. The directions for sizing are dead on suggesting to order a smaller size. The lining is also fabulous for cold New England Winters!!
Great fit! Love that they come in Narrow sizes. I still had room for thick socks without a lot of slipping and sliding inside the boot. Just wish they came in black as well so I could buy a second pair!

The sizing instructions are confusing. The website provides two DIFFERENT sets of instructions. If you read the description paragraphs, the first set of instructions under the "The original and still the best" heading that indicate:
"Order regular shoe size to wear with mediumweight socks. Half sizes order down. Order one size up from above if wearing with heavyweight socks."
There is a second set of instructions under the "L.L.Bean Boot Fit Information" heading that indicate
"To wear with light or midweight socks: If you wear a whole size, order one size down from your normal size. If you wear a half size, order one and a half sizes down.Example: If you wear either a 9 or a 9½, order a size 8.To wear with heavyweight socks: If you wear a whole size, order your normal size. If you wear a half size, order the next whole size down."
When I first ordered the boots I followed the instructions under the "L.L.Bean Boot Fit Information" heading and received boots that fit too small. I do have to exchange for a larger size.
So, after my experience I would advise following the first set of instructions under the "The original and still the best" heading.
The boots themselves are wonderful. I cant wait to wear them!!!
