These boots were great, I really wish they worked out but the top of the boots near the calves were too small and I have skinny legs. The laces were not long enough.I am going to opt for a shorter version.
I am a size 6.5, but seeing as that is not an option I ordered the 7m because the narrow also wasn't available thinking I would be wearing thick socks. But the 7 was way to big even with the thick socks. So I returned them (which was extremely easy) and got a 6m which fit perfect with regular socks. The boots are really compfy and can be worn a couple different ways however the sheering doesn't go all the way to the feet. I love the more feminine white over the brown though! I haven't worn them in the cold and wet season yet so hopefully even without the extra shearling they are as warm as they say.
I got these because a couple years ago because we had a snow storm, and I all I had to wear were rain boots. My feet hurt really bad from the cold. So these boots do succeed in keeping you feet warm. And they work great for shoveling. But that's about it. The laces are WAY too short, you can barely tie them. The tread is really bad; it isn't deep enough to give you purchase. Their have been quite a few times where I've slipped which is NOT what you want with a winter boot. I wore these for a short hike. The terrain was mostly flat, and these didn't work. I had to walk funny to get a good grip in the snow. Regular hiking boots work better for that. So all in all, good for shoveling, or another time when it's not slippery out, but not when you're hiking or walking in slushy terrain.
I would highly recommend these boots for the winter, especially if you live in an area with a lot of snow. They are insulated, have rubberized bottoms, and are taller than the other duck boot styles. I personally like these boots much better than the shorter boots because they keep your feet warmer. Since the boot is taller, it also allows you to walk through a snow bank if needed. They also go perfectly with leggings and jeans which makes it easier to match when going out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this type of Bean Boot because they are warm, long-lasting, and durable. A perfect combination for whatever winter throws at you.
