I bought these for my daughter and she loves them. Maybe little big as she takes 5-5.5 and 6 smallest available. I got them when they were already sold out in catalog and my local store (most LLBean boots were sold out). The store saleswomen at checkout was wonderful and did search for 2 styles in all other LLBean stores. I bought them on phone (while still in store) from a New York store and as usual arrived earlier then expected. I am so glad LLBean still values excellent quality and amazing customer service. I was looking for a warm and durable snow boot cause my feet gets cold really easily. Thanks llbean for quick delivery. Used it as soon as I got it and feet stayed warm and dry during this crazy cold and snowy winter. Tired of all this snow/slush, but bean boot makes easier to be out and about. It was recommended by a friend fr Boston. Now I recommend to anyone wanting a warm stylish and durable snow/winter boot. Looking to get my hubby a pair.
These boots are great - so warm and they keep my feet dry. They are even more comfortable than I was expecting and I love the fact that they're lined with wool. I usually wear a 7.5 to 8 regular but ordered a 7 narrow since a the regular one were sold out. The 7 narrow fit well and I still have some room in the length.
I haven't worn them in deep snow yet but they've been great in an inch or two of snow as well as in the rain. I would definitely recommend them and I'm happy with my purchase.

DETAILS: I take a size 5 1/2 shoe; the 6M fits great with a heavy wool boot sock. Love the black! Warm and perfect for city and deep snow country walking, with good traction even on ice. They are comfortable right out of the box, and the leather upper with the shearling lining will get even softer with use. Two observations: They could use longer shoelaces. -20 degree rating: If you'll be sitting still for any length of time in -20 weather these aren't the boots for you - I feel top of the foot area isn't insulated enough to keep feet warm even with wool boot socks. But these are toasty if you're active!
