I've been wanting Bean boots for ages! These seem indestructible and very waterproof. I've worn them several times, but I haven't had a chance to really test the elements in them yet. The fur lining is SO soft and warm - I want all my winter clothes to be lined in that! The footbed lining is pretty soft, but I wish it was softer. These do run large - I normally wear an 8 1/2 to a 9 1/2 so I got the 8 and can wear them with normal socks very comfortably with toe wiggle room. The boots are stiff and rugged b/c of the steel so they're not really wear-all-day comfortable, but that's alright. Be aware: they do not slip on and off easily, and you could wear with tights and leggings but they are not for tucking pants into. I like, but others might not.
Purchased this boot for my daughter. She loves them. They did run larger than her normal shoe size, as others indicated in there reviews. She normally takes 8 1/2 - 9 and I purchased size 8. They fit perfectly.
These are very attractive looking boots and I have received many compliments. I bought a size down when I purchased as they run slightly big. They are comfortable to wear and I have worn my boots in a variety of weather and temperatures. I have found these boots are very warm and cozy on a crisp, fall day, but they do not hold up to my expectations for colder weather. I wore them multiple times last winter and my feet and toes quickly became very cold, even with warm socks. For the price, they are not as warm and cozy as they are made out to be. I bought a new pair of winter boots for this year since I will be standing outdoors often in colder weather. I kept these since they are a nice boot for between seasons, and they are more fashion forward than other boots I own. I wouldn't recommend buying a more functional boot if you're looking for warmth, and these if you're looking for fashion.
These boots were purchased for my granddaughter who goes to college in the moutains. We believe these boots will be perfect for when the snow comes. She loves them.
