I've only worn these boots a few times, but they are AMAZING. I only wish that I had these when I was battling the harsh Syracuse, NY winters as a college student. I love the shearling liner in the top part of the boot and that it turns into thinsulate over the foot. I prefer this to a total shearling liner as my feet would overheat and become sweaty. I most recently wore these to a Buffalo Bills outdoor football game where the temp stayed at a steady 20 - 30 degrees with some snow and had no problems whatsoever! I just wore thicker socks and my feet stayed nice and toasty. Definitely looking forward to using these all winter long!
I wanted very much to make this pair of boots a useful item but could not adjust to the way that the walking motion was a "clomp" instead of a smooth transition from heel to toe. No amount of walking in them made it better. The fit on the foot was wonderful. The materials were excellent. The walking motion from the heel to the front of the foot was not acceptable.
These boots are AMAZING but I'm going to be tromping around in NYC winters (mostly slushy stuff and some big snow storms) and found them a bit too heavy-duty. These have the fleece throughout the inside (similar to an UGG boot but way better quality). If you are looking for a SOLID snow boot with thick, wonderful softness inside, get these bad boys. There were some stiff leather edges on the inside but they will soften up once broken in. I'm a 9 usually and the 8 fit fine. I ended up exchanging them for the 8" thinsulate boots which I think will be better for what I need: A warm city boot for the occasional snowstorm.
