Love these boots. I wear an 8 1/2 wide normally but after reading the reviews I ordered an 8 B. They fit perfectly with medium weight socks. If I were to wear heavy weight socks however I would order an 8 wide.
The boots were a gift for my granddaughter who is entering a college in Pennsylvania this year. She has been wanting the boots since she first saw them advertised. They were a graduation gift. I have never seen her so excited at any gift I've given her. Inspite of the fact that we are in the middle of a hot summer, she put them on and kept them on for a whole evening. She says they are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly.
An L.L. Bean customer service representative recommended these, and I don't think I could have found a better pair of boots for hiking around outside in the New England winter. After 3 hours of tromping through 6 inches or more of snow, my feet were still warm and dry. Impressive. (And the fit is good for my rather wide feet.)
They're beautiful, comfortable and sturdy. But that's what I've come to love from LL Bean Boots. I have some that I've had for 25 years. And they still fit even though they're a little worse for wear. I love them.
