Wish I had bought them sooner!

I waited, and waited and waited to purchase these boots until they went on sale. After having and wearing them for only two weeks, I wonder how I went through a winter without them! They are not bulky, fit true to size (based on Bean's sizing recommendations), do not require a break-in period, are very comfortable to walk in (think long walks with the dog in the snow), and are toasty warm. I have already recommended these boots to all of the ladies in my immediate family. They are a must have!

Great Overall Boot
PostedFebruary 6, 2013
I bought this boot to walk to and wear at work. I am a licensed funeral director and that leads me outdoors quite often. I not only walk through lots of snow and slush but also stand for long periods of time parking vehicles. Although the shearling lining doesn't extend all the way through to the toes, these boots are WARM! I typically wear nylon trouser socks and these boots keep my feet toasty even when standing still, no additional layers needed. I have literally trudged through inches of water and slush at cemeteries with no leakage and have stood in inches deep snow with the same results. I also can walk easily with no rubbing or pinching. I can't however, tie them to the top due to the short laces and like other reviews, if you're a half size order down. I usually wear a 6.5 but ordered a 6 and they are still a little on the long side. A thicker pair of socks would likely do the trick. Great overall boot that I hope will last for many years. Would definitely recommend to anyone who spends time outdoors.

not warm enough
PostedFebruary 3, 2013
Hiking through snow last year the cold didn't bother me, this year standing on a frozen lake icefishing (with foot warmers on too), my feet were cold. Disappointing. In my old Bean pac boots I bought in the mid 1980's my feet were never cold. Too bad the tread had completely worn off after 30 years!!!

Warm, great fit, win win purchase!

I purchased these boots anticipating a cold , snowy winter. Alas not much in the way of snow but it has been cold. Had a dusting of snow last night so I was eager to get out and try the boots. There were very warm and comfortable. I find the shearling lined boots more comfrotable than the non lined L.L. Bean boots I had 15 years ago.
Highly recommend these boots.
