I bought these boots because I was tired of my feet getting wet in other "waterproof" boots. These are truly waterproof and they're pretty warm. I would have given it 5 stars if the shearling covered the toes also (that's the part of the foot that gets the coldest). They also run very large. I have worn a size 7 1/2 since I was 14 years old although I initially sized down to a 7, I had to return it for a size 6. I don't remember ever wearing a size 6 since my mom bought my shoes back then, haha.
I was soo excited to get these boots. I have a pair of the shorter ones in brown and thought the black 10" would be a perfect addition. I originally ordered the 8 as my other pair is a tad big in the 9... the 8's were too snug, even though they have less shearling in the foot box. So I ordered the 9s, and in those my foot moves all around. Unfortunately both pairs need returned... I was also surprised at how little shearling was in the foot box itself, definitely less than my other pair which makes me wonder if they will be as warm. The 10" high was also too tall for my 5'3" body with bigger calves :(
These boots are awesome! Perfect for Michigan winters! They keep my feet warm and dry, and are surprisingly light for winter boots. They are great for hiking throught the snow and snow shoeing. I have already recommended these boots to two people!
