Love this boot more than expected. I've worn them when I go out in the snow for 4 days straight now, and they've kept my feet completely dry. The shearling only goes down below your ankles, but there is a nice lining inside the foot area and it keeps your feet fairly warm. My toes got a little cool, but not cold, out in single digit weather. Pretty good arch support too, although I have really high arches and use an arch insert, which fits fine. The laces are stiff at first, and I agree with another reviewer that they aren't quite long enough. But once you get them laced up tight, they don't come undone and the boot is very supportive. I normally wear a size 7-1/2 to 8, ordered the size 7 and they fit perfectly. I got the brown ones and was afraid they'd look too manly, but not the case. Very nice looking with jeans or cords! No regrets whatsoever in buying these after looking at them for years!
Love them! They fit perfectly and kept my habitually cold toes warm. I've worn them for dog walks in the field and woods as well as on the sidewalk. This morning, I fit them to my new snowshoes, which I hope to try out this afternoon (if the snow doesn't turn to rain). We've owned Bean Boots in our family since my grandfather's time. I highly recommend them to anyone.
I received these boots just in time for our first winter storm of 2012 and I am very pleased that they fit perfect and are very comfortable. They kept my feet dry whitle shoveling and I didn't slip once while on slippery surfaces. I will be keeping these boots for many years and would recommend them to anyone, no matter what your fashion style is you will be happy you made this choice. Enjoy!
I am so happy I finally got around to buying these boots. I've been eyeing them for quite some time. They are incredibly comfortable and warm. I've worn them through the snow on several 15 degree days, and my toes only got a little cold. I find that they keep me very warm when dry, but as snow gets caked on them my toes do get cold (the boots keep my feet dry, they just get chilled).
Definitely recommend these as a great functional AND stylish winter boot!
I am very glad I read other reviews saying they ran large. I generally wear a 9.5-10 depending on the brand. I ordered these in a 9 and they fit perfectly. I do wish the laces were a little bit longer.
