The fit was fine. I didn't like the feeling of the overlap on the liner. I also feel there wasn't adequate pading underfoot. The storm chaser is by far more comfortable.
I'm normally anywhere from a 9 to a 9.5, but read the reviews and decided to order a 8. I'm happy I did because they fit perfectly and there's still room for thick socks. I don't understand the laces though...why do they come so short?
Because my feet get REALLY coId in the winter, I have wanted these boots for years. But, every time I get around to trying to order they are sold out and back ordered. So, I ordered early this year and got them!!
They are comfy and require no breaking in. And the shearling lining is lovely! The only downside is that it is only in the ankles. I wish it was down in the foot of the boot. I did purchase a shearling insole and it improves the cozy factor greatly.
On the downside, I don't think they will be warm enough for true winter wear. Once a little snow hits the boots the rubber tops will get very cold and I just know my toes will be freezing because there is not much insulation. Also, they fit close, so they are a bit tight in the toes.. I had hoped to wear these for barn chores and for riding this winter but I suspect they will be fall/spring boots instead - just can't seem them being quite warm enough for our super cold Canadian winter and my super freezing feet. But until the temps really drop these will be my go to boots for sure!!
As suggested - order a size smaller than you usually wear. I'm a size 7 in everything and the 6 fits really well.
