The fit information is correct- size down. I ordered the size 8, and I'm normally an 8.5-9. I have enough room left for socks. These boots look great laced all the way up or folded over (nice touch: they include a card with instructions on how to fold properly). I had the tan version growing up and they were the best- very durable. The black on black color combo is a sleeker version that's perfect for the city.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
Ordered one size under my regular size. Use these boots for hunting. While riding in a vehicle, one pair of socks are warm enough. Hunting outside, I wear thermal socks and feet stay very toasty. Took about a week to break these in. Highly recommend to active outdoors activity. Very easy to walk in for long period of time. Light weight and durable.
While I've gotten many great compliments on the looks of the boots, they do not keep my feet warm like the "tested" temperature range suggests. My toes got very cold in 40 F degree temperature (while wearing wool socks!). No way will these hold up in freezing temps as they promote on the website. The only reason I purchased them was because of the "TESTED" temperature. I knew the "foot" part did not have the shearling lining, but do not promote a temperature range that is obviously not true. Even though I am dissapointed that they will not keep my feet as warm as I though, they do hold up much better than the previous boots I used. Wish I could have found something better.
