I ordered the 6 based on these reviews but found the boots really small! I returned them for my normal size which is a 7. While the 7s do fit with extra toe room (better then no toe room) they feel so comfortable and look great. I love these boots.

What better way for a parent to show love and support for a 15 year-old daughter who is going through some hard times, than to buy these beautiful Shearling Lined 10'' L.L. Bean Boots(with dark brown leather upper). Some may think that this is just a well made pair of winter boots (with dark brown leather upper), but in reality, they are the perfect way for a parent to express appreciation, love, and support for a devoted 15 year-old daughter that may very well be charged with taking care of her parents in their golden years. These boots are vastly superior to other boots on this site, that, in the interests of being sensitive, we will not mention.
They weren't kidding when they said these boots run big. I'm a 9.5 and always tend to buy 10 b/c I have wide feet. And I didn't want to risk a 9 being too small, especially with thick socks, so I went with the 10. It's laughably huge! They're more like a typical 11-12!!! I should have listened to the LLBean product specialist. Lesson learned. Size 9 is on it's way to me now:)
Other than that, they're super cozy, fun to lace up different ways, and make me feel like a stylish lumberjack. They're also not as heavy as I thought they would be, which is great. I'm obviously a city girl. I wanted these for rainy days here in SF as well as snow days up in Tahoe. I think they'll be perfect for these reasons...once I get the size 9.

I have wanted a pair of duck boots for a long time. I found the shearling lined boots this past fall and absolutely fell in love with them. I finally got my pair of boots just after Christmas and absolutely love them!! We haven't had any crazy cold weather yet, but in what little snow we've had they've worked fantastically. I even rode my horse in them on a snowy trail ride and my feet stayed much warmer in these boots than they did in my winter riding boots!
These boots are very comfortable and are not difficult to wear stiff right out of the box. I can't wait until I get them broken in though so that they will form fit my feet. :) They rinse well if you get them muddy. So far they have kept my feet dry, but I've also been careful not to walk in more than 3 inches of water. I haven't been willing to have wet and muddy feet when it's been cold out. I can say they hose off well after walking in the kind of mud that sucks your shoes off.
The only downside to these boots is they are slightly large on my feet. They're the perfect length and width for wearing thick socks, but they flop around a bit when I wear thin socks. I wear a 9.5 wide usually, so I ordered a 9 wide. I think the 8 would have been too small with winter socks, but would probably be perfect for the unlined boots to wear in the summer.
