These boots are very comfortable. The lining makes you feel like you could walk all day in them! I am glad I took the advice about ordering a full size smaller. I usually wear an 8 (8 1/2 if they are narrow) and I ordered the 7 and they are perfect.
I tried the option of making them shorter boots, but didn't like the way they looked or felt that way. I'll stick to wearing them all laced up.
When I ordered these boots were on back order and I wound up getting them two weeks earlier than promised.
They are fine but not as great as everyone raved in reviews. They are quite stiff and so seem to rub the back of my leg at times. Not long enough laces to go all the way up, and the foot area not lined with shearling so if worn barefoot not so comfortable. They do keep you warm but don't think in below freezing weather would do the trick. I wore a thick sock in 15 degree weather and they were ok but I could tell that much colder my feet would have been cold. The non skid sole is good however. Overall, fine, not excellent for the price in my opinion.
I was very happy to see these boots offered in narrow width since I swim in the medium width. I ordered my normal size, in narrow width and they fit perfectly! A little extra room length-wise, but that will allow for heavy socks with no crowding - essential for keeping warm. They appear to be beautifully made. Nice, heavy leather with solid stitch work. My only possible complaint is that the laces were short. Out of the box, the laces ran out 3 holes from the top of the boot shaft. After walking around with them on for a while, I think that they will reach farther once the leather softens up a bit, but I doubt that they will make it all the way up. I have narrow feet and skinny ankles and calves, so it's not like they are laced very far apart. That said, I don't think that I would ever lace them all the way up anyway, so not a big deal in the overall scheme of things!
Great boot. A bit large. Very cozy. Inside seams are a bit uncomfortable if you don't wear socks, but of course you'll want to wear big fuzzy socks with these! Me gusta!
