I have had these boots for 4 years now and I still reach for them first. They are great in the rain, sleet and snow! I wear a 9.5, bought a 9 and agree with the previous writer, you may not have to size down. I wear the 9 just fine, but could have gone to the 10 too (if I knew I was to wear thicker socks). Either way you can't go wrong. Highly recommend them!
Warm and comfortable, just as expected. I wear a size 8.5 or 9 in shoes, and always a 9 in boots, but based on reviews I sized down to an 8 Narrow. They're fine with thin socks, but to wear thick socks for cold days I would have had to go with 9 or 9N.
I bought this because of the real shearling fleece and the waterproof bottoms. Winters in South Dakota are long and often very snowy. They are predicting more snow than last year. Yikes! I tromped around in these after I got them and they are very comfortable. I normally wear 8.5, and the 8 fit fine.
Although the boot looked like what I wanted, it ran very wide ( I ordered the the narrow because I have very narrow feet). The length was also somewhat big. Unfortunately, I had to return these boots along with the other two pairs of these duck type boots I had ordered because of the size. I also had ordered the men's loafer like this for my husband who has an extremely wide foot and the shoe was huge on him as well. He was able to fit into a shoe a size smaller than his usual size and a medium width. When I returned the shoes to a local store, the salesperson told me that the shoes do run "big".
