"These slippers are very warm and feel good on the feet, that said there are a few things that keep them from being great foot wear. the size large are short and narrow, and the leather use for the side support is a little thinner than it should be to keep them from shifting on the foot. If they fixed these problems, then the Chinese would have made a great slipper."

"We bought this, for or 12 year old son. His legs are very skinny, so for him they work great, but we don't see a grown man using them, they would be very tight along the ankle and up. But it would work for the actual feet part."

"I hate slippers, but it has been sooooo cold lately that I have worn out several of my favorite thick wool socks. In desperation, I ordered these - which we called mukluks when I was little - and they are perfect. The toe freedom of bare feet, but the warmth of wooly winter socks. I feel all warm footed and can imagine that I am in the fifth grade again, wearing my wonderful mukluks."

"The slipper socks are very comfortable to wear and keep my feet warm; however, they have one significant weakness-- the socks tear where the material over the toes meets the bottom sole. This is caused by the toes, especially the big toe, pressing against the top material as one walks. The sock should be redesigned with a stronger material over the toe area."

I do like to wear socks with mine so next time I will get the XL size which I will be purchasing soon.
They are very well crafted and I could not find any evidence that the other sellers of products very similar to this, were crafted as well as the LL Beans.

"These are great if you suffer from cold feet any time of the day like I do. I wear them around my apartment (mostly at night) when my feet start getting cold, and these socks warm them right up. The wool is nice & soft, but not itchy, and the bottoms are padded making them super comfortable to walk around in. The soles are made of nice leather that is durable enough to walk outside a bit if you need to, which I do sometimes when I let my dog out to use the bathroom. They stand up well against the tough cement. I also found the fit to be very true to size, I went with the medium (I wear between a 9.5-10 depending on the brand) and they fit perfectly. Lastly, I found the colors to be accurate as represented on the site, I ordered both gray colors and they are just as pictured. Great buy!"

"These slippers are great! Extremely comfortable with a cushion in the sole. The knit slipper goes mid calf and stays put so they do NOT slip around on your feet. Very warm and cozy for those drafty floors. I wear size 9 and they fit perfectly."

This Product is...disappointing
"Workmanship on this sample was sloppy. Right sole was sewn on slightly skewed, so my heel tended to land partially on the seam between the sole and the leather trim on the side. Not the quality I've been accustomed to from LLBean. I have to pay to send it back, so I won't take a chance on a replacement pair."

"I got these as a gift this winter and while I have been wanting some good slippers I was hesitant about the quality/performance of these. However, I've been wearing them for a month now and am very pleased with how cozy my feet have been.
They're two layered with a rib knit on the outside and a finer knit on the inside. This feature makes them extra cozy. They also have a squishy pad between the knitted upper and leather sole that makes these great for standing/walking in around the house.
I wear a sock in the slipper to keep the slipper from getting dirty and since it's knitted it stretches to shape just fine. The portion above the ankle is also snug to keep from sagging back down to the foot.

"I have been wearing these slipper socks for years and keep coming back to them since they are simply the best.
I always get the light gray (I've no idea what color they call them now). They keep my feet warm on even the coldest nights (it was in the teens the other night and my feet were toasty warm). They also last for years (I think I'm on my fourth pair in the last 25 years....and that's only because one pair got misplaced during a move). Finally, although they have leather bottoms, they don't slip at all."

"My wife and I each bought a pair. Mine is the largest that they make since I wear a size 13 shoe. My wife's is the smallest they make since she wears a size 5 shoe. We've had them for less than a month and even living in Arizona, we put them on in the evenings. Others have said that the upper sock is too tight but I haven't had any problem getting them on or off. We did mark on the bottoms that it was a right or left slipper sock because it was hard to distinguish which was which. Maybe it wouldn't have made any difference anyway."
