Having adopted my iPad for all business travel (I now access my desktop and corporate systems virtually through my iPad), I sought a carry bag that was both professional, efficient and not looking like a "man-purse". This bag is perfect! It comfortably stores my iPad, Notebook/ledgers, files, glasses, water bottle, etc. I tried the larger messenger bag and found it much too large for my needs. Also, I have not experienced any of the clasp issues I experienced and are frequently noted on the larger messenger bag. Very well constructed, beautifully crafted and, trust me, a great value. I bought this carry bag for my husband who was previously using a generic backpack and needed a more professional image for work. He loves this bag after using it for one week. Nice that it has a good sized open interior so you aren't limited as to what you can fit/carry.
This is a most attractive, roomy, comfortable-to-carry bag. It may be the favorite of all time for me! Despite its substantial size, it is elegant -- i feel i could take it anywhere. The leather is lovely and soft, the fastener reliable, and the compartments and pockets just perfect for the person who has a lot to carry but still wants to look sleek and put together. So, use it as a purse or as a mini-briefcase....and enjoy. Absolutely worth the price and much more. Very well made. I couldn't be happier. Many thanks to L.L. Bean.
