Great bag! It's perfect for commuting, travel on trains and planes (obviously not a large catalogue case or litigation briefcase). Small laptops plus cords, phones and Kindle, files for one matter all fit comfortably.
The bag is great and definetly works for me. I carry my laptop inside on occation. The only problem I have is with the clasp. It is truely Mickey Mouse. You have to fool with it to lock and wiggle it to have it unlock. It is a stamped product that makes it very cheap. Also the parts don't seem to fit perfectly. Why don't you insist on a cast or machined product like the rest of the hardware? If you can get this fixed, let me know as I will pay for a clasp replacement.
This Messenger is well constructed, sturdy and handsome. I intended to use it during my graduate studies to haul all of my things across campus, unfortunately I had to return the bag because it doesn't fit my 15' MacBook. If the bag were just a bit larger it would be able to fit everything that I need.
Slightly heavy, but you can't beat the price when purchasing an all leather messenger bag/ briefcase combo. The strap could use a little extra padding, but if you wear a blazer with shoulder pads you'll be fine. I bought both black and brown. I know, I'm sick.
