I ordered two of these fleeces last year. Love the fit, love the weight, love the style, love one of the colors (light blue, forget the name). However, the "chocolate" brown color is awful! I wear it around the house, but it's too ugly to wear in public. It's a flat, muddy, khaki brown, not the rich dark brown I would call "chocolate." You usually do much better than this on color, LLB!! If you change the chocolate color, I'd order it again, though.
I have two fitness fleece. I wear them running and going to the gym. They hold up well in wash and don't pill. Yeah! My only complaint is they are already a little short in the sleeve area and length. After a few washing and low tumble dry, the length is almost too short now. Nonetheless, I will still buy them for the comfort and look.
I bought a fitness fleece years ago and wore it quite a bit. It held up very well over the years, and I like it very much with one exception - the sleeves, like many of L.L. Beans shirts, fleeces, sweaters, etc. are TOO short. If you're 5'6" or under, I'm sure the sleeves are probably fine. But if you're 5'9" like I am, I have yet to find something from L.L. Bean with sleeves long enough. I like the quality of their products, but it's frustrating to have such limited sleeve lengths. For that reason, I'm only giving it three stars.
