So, I just started riding a bicycle to work this last June. I'm still riding in mid December and the bulky fleece I was wearing under my rain shell was just too darn hot.
Hey, wait a minute look at the fleece my daughter is wearing that we bought second hand. It's thin, remarkably soft and would be just the thing I need under my rain shell. Come here honey show me the tag. Who makes that?
Well lookie that! It's LLBean. Do they still make that style? Hmmm the pocket on the sleeve will help me find the right one.
There it is! They still make it!!! I think I'll order FOUR. This fleece has been the answer to my bicycle commute layering dilemma. It's thin, warm and keeps the clammy rain jacket off my skin. Then, when I ride home in the (Summer) heat of the day it easily rolls up and I can carry it in my messenger bag without a lot of bulk.
Just the other morning it was frosty and I was plenty cozy. I'm wearing them around the house as well. I love how the seams show a flattering fit.
I found that the deepest violet is not the bright purple it looks like on the web site. It is more of a deep plum.
I just ordered two more for my daughter since she has worn her "old" one for two weeks straight now. Getting another zip up one for me and going to buy one for Christmas for my Husband!
