I recently rode my motorcycle to Nova Scotia from Omaha NE and stopped in the L.L. Bean store in Freeport Maine looking for a couple of fleeces to wear riding and camping. I bought a two and wore them almost exclusively the rest of the trip. They washed and dried beautifully. I folded them and packed tightly for my small motorcycle bags, but when I pulled them out, the wrinkles fell away. They're so soft and comfortable. Also, now that I'm back home, I wear them to work on casual Fridays, as they're still in excellent shape. Thanks L.L. Bean for another excellent product!
I received this as a gift in Chocolate brown and I was not terribly impressed. The quality is excellent as always with LL Bean, but the fit leaves something to be desired. I am a tall size 8-10 on top, and the sleeves and bottom hem of this fleece are too short for me. Also, the shoulder seams create a very unstructured look, rounding out my shoulders in a way that makes me look like I'm slouching. For the right size and shape, I think this would be an excellent product, but I only wear it when I'm home alone!
I love this fleece. I bought one for myself and one for my daughter. She wears hers nearly everyday to school. They are so soft and with just enough stretch to slip it over your head and other layers easily. It's also tailored to flatter a womans shape. The material washes well and never seems to fade or lose its shape. These have replaced our lightweight jackets this fall.
