I have had a dark green fitness fleece with quarter zip pullover for a couple of years. I love it! I wear it often-all year round, actually. I wanted to buy another. BUT women's sizes are excluded now. I need a 1x to be able to layer it. Only the jackets are available in my size. I don't need or want a jacket. Please reconsider LL Bean & resume offering women's sizes in this fleece pullover. Thanks!
This was my first pullover purchase at L.L., but won't be my last. I have several of this type from another company, that are very hot..yes, this is thinner, but its also softer, cooler and perfect for layering, can be worn indoors or out, though again, would need layering due to weight, but that is exactly why I love this so much. I also bought the pattern in blue..so pretty! I wear a 12, am usually between a med and large, I bought the large and it is perfect, enough room for a tee or turtleneck, yet not baggy..I Love this shirt..
This is a very lightweight fleece that is 100% polyester, which makes me wonder how the softness will hold up after washing and drying. I am a 12 and ordered this in a Large. I feel that Bean's shirts tend to run ever so slightly on the small side. This has a trim fit and is rather long in the arms. (My sleeves fall long enough to completely cover my palms.) I wouldn't plan on layering this over anything but a trim T or snug long-sleeved base layer. It is not terribly warm on its own or over a T. All that said, I do still like the item and would recommend it, as long as you're aware of it's fit and function.
I love my new fitness fleece! I wore it around the house and it is so lightweight but kept me so warm. It is so soft and cozy, it's like wearing a baby blanket. Then I really put it to the test: I wore it out on a run. I had a long sleeve fitness shirt under the fleece and then a lightweight running jacket as outerwear. It was about 40-45 degrees and it was perfect! Not bulky at all which is exactly what I wanted. I know I'll still be comfortable wearing it out like that when it gets even a little colder. I LIKE the inside, how it's not the same fleece as the outside. It is still so soft and I think it will wear very well. I'm in love. My only request: bring on more fun colors!!!
