I like the look (sure, a little more fitted would be even nicer) but my my main problem with this jacket is the pilling. It pills inside the jacket and feels a bit flimsy. I hope they'll work out this problem; I'd buy several if I thought the quality were better.
I have four of the quarter zip pullovers and love the plentiful color selection, lightweight warmth and versatility of the fleece. Unfortunately, over time the sleeves and body have shrunk so much as to be unwearable. I finally gave up and donated the four items to the thrift store, where hopefully a petite person will get some use out of them. I am on a budget and sad to have wasted my limited funds on four items that were attractive and fit well initially, but made with poor quality materials. I am replaceing these pull overs with comfort fleece, which seems to have none of the serious quality issues of the women's fitness fleece.
LL Bean - you rarely disappoint - but a reworking of the women's fitness fleece material seems to be sorely needed.
I was very excited to shop in the LLBean Store in Freeport while on an East Coast Vacation. My only real disappointment was this top. After just a three wearings and washings, the sleeves pilled on the inside. I like the fit and color but have to wear it with long sleeves under it to be comfortable. I would not buy another one.
As with many other reviewers, the fit is boxy (especially the pullover) and the length and sleeves short/shrink. The description says slightly fitted, but I don't see it. This has been a problem so long, why won't llbean make a tall size or adjust the fit? I like the weight and feel, but just can't wear these. There is only one other pullover (w/out hood now, and that one is too heavy and bulky).
