I bought 4 of these fitness fleece pullovers last year, love them! Bought another this year and the quality seems to have gone down, the material has changed, I've had the pullover less than 2 months and the seams are already coming apart. All of my previous bean purchases have lasted forever, this is disappointing!
I have several older fitness fleeces that are great, but this fabric is only half a fleece and very cheap. It's fleece on the outside, but the inside is slick--not fleecy at all. It doesn't feel warm or cozy like a fleece should, even over a t-shirt. I'm very disappointed in the quality. It's not at all what I expect from LL Bean!
This product has had some length added on since the last two I bought, and I hate it. Frumpy dumpy look to it. The material is not as nice as the last two I bought. And this time I bought white b/c I have a lot of dark pants and dark tops, so I wanted something light on top. You can see the dark pants through the fleece, so it looks ridiculous. If I had not thrown everything away upon receiving this, I'd return it. I'll keep it to wear around the house only.
I bought the deep red and also the tarragon fitness fleece in Medium. I loved the same style white fitness fleece in Medium from a previous year. (The new fleece was made in El Salvador.) The sleeves on my old fitness 1/4 zip fleece were roomy and comfortable, but the sleeves on this year's fleece are HUGE. And I have heavy set arms--I don't even wear sleeveless tops. I also tried washing and drying this new fleece at an extra hot setting, hoping it would shrink it. When I put the fleece on top of my old one, the body of the fleece is the same, but the sleeves were an inch wider and almost an inch longer.
I do like the lightweight fabric on it and the wash and wear aspect of it. I won't purchase another one of these again until I find out if they have different sizing on the sleeves.
