I purchased this fleece because I had some money left on a gift card. This is the first time I have ever returned an item because of poor quality. The fleece (if you can call it that) resembled very thin velour. The inside was not soft and fleecy, it was slick and polyester. This resembled those cheap kids pajamas from the 70s that would wear through to a see through mesh at the knees and elbows. I expected more from LL Bean's reputation. This wasn't even worth the sale price, let alone the full price.
I have two of these that I bought in previous years. Loved them so much that I decided to get another. What a disappointment! This is nothing like the others. The fleece is different and there is now a cheap lining that adds weight to what was always warm but light. The sizing is bigger too and somewhat out of balance with sleeves and length longer than before. What has happened to this wonderful product?
The Fitness Fleece !/4 zip pullover is my go-to top for cool-to-cold weather in SC. I purchase a few each fall. They wash well, are just the right weight, and are wonderfully comfy!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, casual yet flattering
I have the fitness fleece in all three styles - hoodie, full zip and quarter zip. This quarter zip is my favorite. I wear this from the end of summer until the end of spring almost exclusively. Good thing I have it in so many colors! I have several that are at least 5-6 years old and they look as good as my much newer ones. Very flattering cut, also. You CAN NOT go wrong with this fleece which is why I advise you to order more than one color at a time!
