Fitness fleece is a wonderfully soft, lightweight alternative to heavier polartec when you don't need something quite so warm.
I bought three of these this year and love the colors, but am disapppointed in how much shedding they do. After a brief car trip my seatbelt and car seat as well as my pants, were covered in fuzz. I am 5'8" and the sleeves and length, as in other LLBean tops were a bit too short. The softness and stretchy comfort is a plus and they are a comfortable layer to wear indoors, out - even for sleeping. If the sleeve and hem length came in a tall option and the pilling problem were elimated - it would definitely be a wonderful addition to an almost perfect product.
I've bought 5 of these over the past few years and am very pleased with them. The colors stay vivid and pretty; they wash and dry without shrinking. I wash them inside out and they haven't pilled very much. These are wonderful to layer with from fall through spring.
