I bought these sheets based on the Consumer Reports review, and I love the feel of them. I, however, have experienced what several other reviewers have. The top hem edge of the flat sheet becomes very wrinkled. I tried ironing just the hem, but it didn't help. I've been married 50 years and have never experienced this with sheets.
I've had these sheets about 2 years. We find them to be very comfortable. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the top edge of the sheets and edge of the pillowcases. As another reviewer mentioned, they have become creased, almost pleated, even with ironing. They are beginning to fray along the creases. I don't know when the creased edges started. By the time I noticed it, ironing did not help. Besides, ironing sheets is not something I have time to do. We like the feel of the sheets but unfortuantely they did not prove to be durable.
I bought this product in the full size with the matching fitted sheet and pillow cases in the Vintage Green color. I love them all! The color was well represented online and goes well with the rest of my bedding ensemble on that bed. I love the extra length of this flat sheet! There is plenty to tuck in at the foot so it won't come loose, and yet it still leaves an extra amount at the head to fold over the rest of the blankets for their protection from face oils. The best part, though, is that the fabric is so wonderfully smooth that cat hair is easily removed from it by rubbing lightly and quickly with a small rubber cat brush to collect it in a little pile that is then easily picked up with my fingers and carried away. My cat has taken to sleeping with me in the last year, but I am finicky about cat hair on things, so this is a great find for me. I also love the smoothness so that my nightgown doesn't get stuck on the sheet's surface when I turn over, so that I'm wrapped like a mummy when I wake up. They wash up wonderfully, dry quickly, and the few wrinkles that are retained don't bother me in the least. The color has not faded either.
Although the sheet is well made with a generous cut, the fabric itself does not feel like cotton. It feels more like polyester -- slick rather than crisp, I'll just keep patching my vintage Wamsutta percale sheets as I have given hope of ever replacing them with like quality. I wonder if the difference is in the type of cotton used? My guess is (and this is just a guess) that the older sheets were made from Upland cotton rather than softer Pima or Egyptian cottons. Would love to know for sure.

We’re sorry the fabric of these sheets didn’t meet your expectations, and we'd like to help. These pima cotton percale sheets tend to be crisper than a sateen pima cotton.
