280 Thread Count King Sheets
PostedAugust 30, 2013
I've been looking everywhere for a couple of yrs for another set of sheets to fit our extra deep king mattress with no success. All were too short or too narrow, with not enough sheet to hang over and tuck in. Well, l washed them first, and they have been on the bed for about a month, washed several times, NO shrinkage!!!!!!! They passed the ultimate test, in my opinion. So many all cotton items fail the shrink test. They feel light weight and comfortable, now I just hope they wear well. I would consider buying another set for our guest bed. BTW I bought white, goes with everything...

very good sheets
PostedAugust 28, 2013
I needed new sheets for our queen-size bed. After reading a Consumer Reports article, I decided on white ones from. Bean's. We have had the sheets about three weeks. They have been washed three times, dried in the dryer twice and on the clothesline once. No shrinkage noticed. The fitted sheet fits fine on our deep mattress. The flat sheet is large enough that there is a decent overhang on the sides of the bed. Wrinkles are minimal. The feel is a little weird, but not in an unpleasant way. It it's possible for sheets to feel crisp and silky at the same time, that 's my impression. Other reviews call the sheets "scratchy" and I don't think that's exactly right. They remind me of the substantial 100% cotton sheets on the beds in my grandmother's house back in the 1950's Good sheets. We'll see how they last.

Just right....

Bought a set of these for my elderly (sorry mom!) mother who wanted floral sheets because they are cheerful. These are certainly cheerful, also smooth and neat without being 'crunchy', and generously sized. (Bought the queen flat & fitted sheets.)

TOO BIG AND NOT WHAT I CALL CRISP
PostedAugust 2, 2013
I read all reviews before ordering these sheets and only listened to what I wanted to hear, I guess. These are not what I call crisp percale. I so wanted crisp like another reviewer mentioned (the 220 thread count LL Bean used to carry). To me soft and silky is not crisp. Also, they are way way too big for my queen mattress that has a nice size topper on it. I want snug. My style of bed does not accommodate the over sized mattresses. Why can't they make fitted sheets that fit regular mattress instead of one fits all. Regrettably, I have to return these and they are so pretty.
