Misrepresented color
PostedApril 20, 2013
I ordered the Lake color and it just came and it is actually light blue and looks nothing like the color depicted. I am sending this sheet back since if I wanted light blue I would have ordered light blue. I have not opened the package so I cannot comment on the quality. I am very disappointed because I really wanted this sheet in the color I saw on the internet. I even got back on the internet to verify the color I ordered and it did not look like the sheet I received.

WELL MADE-BUT WRINKLE BADLY
PostedMarch 17, 2013
I bought 2 sets based on the Consumer Reports review. They seem durable, well made and feel crisp, BUT THEY WRINKLE VERY BADLY. I launder them with liquid fabric softener and a dryer sheet, but they still have to be ironed.
I would not buy them again because I hate to iron. I like the crisp feel and sturdiness, but for me it is not worth the work! If you think ironing is life fulfilling, then go for them! Otherwise, nix them!
I found a non-iron sheets at a competitor that are well made and need no ironing, but they are not as crisp. I wish LL Bean could make an easier care version of this sheet.

Almost like my mother's
PostedFebruary 17, 2013
For a couple of decades I have been searching for the current equivalent of the venerable, no longer available Wamsutta Supercale sheets, at a reasonable price. Although not made in the USA, these percale sheets are the closest I've found to have that crisp feel, particularly if I take the time to iron them (yes, really!). Try them if you prefer plain 100% cotton without a "satin" finish.

Great, but recently the fitted sheet ripped
PostedFebruary 9, 2013
Loved these sheets had them since 2011, but the fitted sheet just tore right down the middle, will be sending this back and hopefully the next one will last longer. I will admit that these are my favorite sheets so they were used probably more than the normal person would.
