After agonizing over all the sheets offered by so many stores with all the thread counts and prices from reasonable to insane, I found these. They are great, smooth and soft and beautiful hemstitching. I am so pleased and the price was great. They are generously cut and fit my king bed with all its matress pads etc. I hope LL Bean will continue to offer these for a long time.
I bought a set of the striped sheets and also a pair of the floral pillowcases. I have no issue with the pillowcases, however both the striped sheets and their matching pillowcases wrinkle badly. Yes, I would love to hang them on the clothesline (although the season for that is winding down) but with a broken leg I've had to resort to the dryer, medium heat. The hems are so wrinkled as to be very unpleasant. I suppose I could iron them if I could get upstairs where the board & iron are. I expected much more from LLBean. I certainly paid enough for them. Any advice would be appreciated, just don't tell me to hire someone!
We starting using these sheets when we changed from frannel sheets in the spring. When I asked my husband what he thinks about them, he said "Very nice sheets". We alternate them with non Bean sheets that we started using at the same time. They were new but had been purchased many years ago. The Bean sheets are definitely softer and more comfortable. We wash them in hot water and dry them on medium. We have not had any problems with them.
We have a queen mattress with a high mattress. We do not use sheet sets, since we both like to have a lot of sheet. It is difficult to find individual sheets, so we were happy to finally fine these great sheets. We have a king flat sheet which gives us both plenty of sheet.
I bought the Pima sheets in the solid "Lake" color. They looked so pretty in the catalogue and on line. I thought that they would match my LL Bean quilt which I bought over 10 years ago. However, I was very disappointed in the color when I received them. The blue is a very grayish blue. I am debating keeping them or returning them. I wish the picture of them was more accurate.
