I bought a set of lower thread count percale billed as "crisp." They were so noisy I was distracted when trying to go to sleep. These are 100% better. Soft, smooth, and silent. I'm going back to buy in a different color.
These sheets are absolutely amazing. They came out of the dryer smoother and less wrinkled than my more expensive sheets ans were soft and cool the first use. Usually after purchasing percale, I have to wash them a few times to get that broken-in softness. We chose the pale orchid and the color came true to the online swatch and really brightened up our bedroom. We were also surprised and pleased with the stitching detail on the pillowcases and flat sheet. One usually finds that sort of attention to detail on higher priced designer sheets. We are already picking out our next set!
This is our first time to purchase sheets from LLBean (normally purchased from another L.... mail order company). The reviews were so good we had to try them and WOW are we pleased. The pockets are deeper and the material more substantial. These are a home run!
After looking at lots of sheets online (and reading way too many reviews), I decided to give these a try. I ordered the pale orchid color - very nice. These sheets are both crisp and smooth. I think they come out of the dryer looking exceptionally well - much better than my other (expensive) percale sheets which are always terribly wrinkled. Have only washed these once, but so far am extremely satisfied.
