I had some high hopes for these sheets because I saw some great reviews on other websites for it, but I must say that they do not live up to the hype. I bought the white set but they seem cheap - my face gets irritated when I lay my head on the sheets (and same with the pillows). I was hoping the scratchy and rough feeling would subside after a few washings, but it still hasn't softened up and I have to use a different pillow to protect my face instead. The sheets also do not fit snug on my king mattress, so it just looks messy and very see-through as other customers have mentioned. This was my first purchase with LL Bean and I don't think I'll be back.

I really wanted 100% cotton percale sheets, NOT sateen, and they have become surprisingly difficult to purchase. I figured Bean's guarantee was good enough that I could take a chance on these, and I'm so happy I did. The sheets feel silky yet crisp and they're the perfect weight at the end of summer/early fall. The cream color is nice, too, not too white, not too yellow. Solid purchase.
I have purchased these sheets in the past, so this was a replacement and I thought I knew what to expect. How wrong.
The sheet is so thin that it is almost see-through. Flimsy doesn't even begin the describe it. I imagine if I ever put it on the bed that I would put my foot through it as I got into bed.
I am so thoroughly disappointed in the quality and LL Bean. What's happened to the company who sold products that I could count on?
We have been purchasing products from Bean from almost 40 years. Today changed my entire view.

Sheet too large for my bed without box spring

Quality of material is very good. When I ordered sheet, I did not consider that my bed does not have a box spring; it's just a mattress on a frame. Consequently, this flat sheet hangs down way too far on either side of mattress and sheet length is ridiculously long, hangs on floor. It's very difficult to put this sheet on the bed and tuck it under the bottom of the mattress because of the sheet length. So please consider whether or not you have a box spring. If I buy another flat sheet for my queen size bed, I'll buy one for a full size bed and hope for the best!!!
