I like my bag and get lots of compliments on its looks. My one complaint (which I think is significant) is you have to work to get at the inside, no matter what. No outside pockets or clips. At best, you have to flap-up the flap to get inside, at worst, you have to un-hook the fake buckle, flap-up AND un-zip to get into it. Also, the bottom of the pencil holder slits are not sewn, so unless your pen clips on, the slits are useless.
This is an awesome leather bag. I love the smell of the leather. I gave it 4 stars because it is so soft my papers and books slide down and bunch up. Other than that it is great!
When you actually have the bag in hand, it's "clunky". The straps have a raw finish and the leather is not what it looks like or is described in the catalog. The quality was not what I expected.
I was really disappointed, as I am in desperate need of a tote similar to it, but returned it as I know I will never use it.
I think the given dimensions must be for when the bag isn't folded down...when it is folded, it's too small to hold my school papers and my lunch and a small purse. It is a very nice bag, just too small for what I needed it for.
