I read every single review on these sheets (and many others) before I finally ordered a set of white, king sized sheets. I splurged and had my pillowcases monogrammed. I couldn't wait for them to arrive, I was so ready for a new set of sheets. I'm a 50+ woman plagued by the nighttime heat so prevalent with my age group. While I love to sleep, I found myself waking up multiple times at night sweating and uncomfortable. Anyway, I was very excited to try these sheets. I immediately washed them and put them on the bed. The first night I climbed into bed it felt like I was sleeping in a 5 Star hotel- that feeling of stiff, cool, weighty sheets. I closed my eyes and woke up 8 hours later. No night sweats. The very best nights sleep I think I've had in years. I'm serious when I say I read reviews on sheets for months. I was prepared to spend as much as it cost to get a set of sheets that would feel great and improve my sleep. These are those sheets. I am really surprised by any of the other poor reviews....If I could give these 10 stars, I would.
I thought these pillowcases because I thought that the pattern largely matched a Laura Ashley quilt that I have. I believe it's the same material. I found them to be soft, silky, and cool from the moment I put them on. I'm sure they will get even softer as I wash them. The pattern is not a perfect match with Laura Ashley but goes extremely well. Good sizing for standard pillowcases, larger than the older ones.
These pillow cases feel soft and silky. There is nothing skimpy about them. I've bought other king size cases over the years and they barely covered the pillows. I bought both the window pane and the solid and the colors are as shown on the website. The fabric is a good weight and will probably last for years. Now that it is getting to be summer, the fabric is cool to the touch. I could not be happier with the purchase.
