Very disappointed with the color of these linens, depicted as a spruce green on the LL Bean website, and arrived a different lighter green altogether. Glad I didn't order the entire set of sheets!

These pillowcases are rough on the face, and they are pilling and catching lint or something - never before had this problem with LLBean linens. Both these and the sunwashed percale sets have failed me, and just after I went through my linen closet and threw away the cases that were just too old to be used. 10 years old, some were....so they performed well, but these are just not nearly as good, they're unsuitable in fact. I have to keep them, I have no others, and I noticed that you pulled some of these cases (in my green color) and put them on sale, they're now backordered, so I'm thinking you fixed the problem and come mid September I can place a new order and restock the linen closet with my usual wonderful quality LLBean bedding.
I love LLBean linens, I've gradually switched all of the linens for my 5 beds to the LL Bean percale 280 thread count - this last bunch wasn't the same as in all the previous years. There is an odd staining thing going on - don't understand it - couldn't figure out what the stains are I never had that trouble with Bean linens before - but when I saw another reviewer say the same thing - I began to figure that it's something wrong with the fabric. Also: the fabric is slippery, and it's nothing like the percale of last year, even. I buy percale because I love how it isn't slippery or silky (ugh), so that's another (major)) issue with this year's offering........I've been washing drying and folding Bean's percale linens for 10 or more years and I've loved them. I hope LLBean as it usually does, takes note of these reviews and problems and fixes them so we can enjoy your lovely percales, original version, once again.
We purchased these pillowcases along with the windowpane sheets, and after just over a year of use, the pillowcases are wearing holes along the seams. Great feel: what you would expect for 280 count, but disappointed that they are already starting to fall apart.
