This is just fine. I would not rely only on it to remove mud from your shoes; especially if you have a back fourty. It does a good job of removing yard clippings. One other thing. This is a natural product; so when you look at it you may notice that all the pattern lines are not square.
We live in a typical Florida pool home with lots of tile. I purchased this rug to help dry wet feet so no one would slip on the tile when coming inside. Not only does the water stay outside but this rug is very soft on bare feet! It also compliments our decor.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, under rated
The "shedding" from this rug is very minimal. I took my Dyson to it as soon as I got it, and never saw any shedding. I also don't have any trouble getting all the dirt this rug traps. It might be the vacuume that is being used. This rug looks great in the house, traps dirt, and doesn't show my lab's white hair. It does feel more like an outdoor rug, but looks great inside and does it's job.
This is the best doormat we've ever had. We're using it inside the kitchen door that leads outside, to grab dirt and water from the dogs' paws when they come inside. Excellent product, as described. It is thick (but our French doors clear it without scraping) and absorbent, and does look like coir. The color is great because the dirt and dog hair don't show on it. I'm really pleased.
