Thoroughly enjoyed review by "allarewelcome" and could not agree more! Have several Waterhogs and they're a big help keeping the mud out of my "mudroom." A breeze to vacuum clean and very attractive, they are well worth a little extra money.
I read all of the reviews prior to purchase and TOTALLY AGREE with all statements. It is by far the best mat I have ever owned. I only wish they made a larger sized one for the back of my van when the back seat is completely down. Now wouldn't that be the next greatest invention for kids sporting equipment tossed into the back with dirt and more!!!! ;oD
The cat comes in, the dog goes out, husband's workboots tromp in, the other cat goes out, spilled bird seed follows cat in, he gets shooed out. Muddy pawed Dog gleefully zooms in, frustrated me shuffles out. My weapons in this battle were an old towel hanging by each doorway, and inexpensive toss rugs that always seemed to toss themselves, vacuum, broom and duct tape. I read the online reviews about the Waterhog mats. The patterns looked attractive. Colors gave me a choice for each door. Assortment of shapes and sizes would fit, and when I added up how much I had spent, and tossed in throw rugs I decided to 'go for it", although I confess I was still doubtful. The mat couldn't be that good, could it? Well, I was wrong. It CAN be that good. Well made, attractive pattern, consistent color, stays in place and it does the job! Sand, snow, mud, fur, and an occasional feather no longer welcome guests to our home. True you may need to step over the cat as he now likes to sleep on the mat, so I guess you can add "comfy" to the description too! Well worth the price, because it works! Thank you LLBean!
We were disappointed with our monogrammed doormat. The initial was not centered and became unraveled. I always thought monogramming was free with LLBean, but not with this item.
