I've had this clock for about two years in a guest bedroom (others sleep there occasionally also) and am very happy with it. The ticking is audible, but calm. The design is lovely, as is the soft celadon color. I have not had to replace a battery yet, and have no problems with the controls. Nice clock!
The clock style is nice and looks sturdy. But mechanical part inside is poorly made and after few times battery changes, it stopped working completely. I can not return because I took this overseas and it is too heavy to send or bring it back. Now it has no use and I feel I wasted money.
I bought Big Ben Clocks for our 2 farm guest bedrooms. The ticking is much too loud. I have found the clocks repeatedly placed outside the door into the hallway in the mornings. I am replacing them. They are not appropriate for bedrooms.
I love the style and shape of this clock but the hands are not as visible at night as I would like. The ticking seems to be getting louder, is it me? I've decided to put this clock away unless I have to have a back up clock when I have to get up early to catch a flight! I'll be shopping for something similar without all the ticking!!!!!!
