At last! A plain old alarm clock that does nothing more than keep time, has an alarm that is easily set and rings when its suppose to. I had looked all over for those clocks with simple alarm clock functions. I didn't need a radio, rays of light, and other goobleygook for a clock to get me up. This reminds of the clock which woke up the entire household when I was a child. I liked the simple nickel design.
I first ordered the Big Ben Moonbeam clock. I was surprised at how much bigger it was than the picture showed. It's a heavy, solid clock. It flashes a bright light on and off to wake you up and ten minutes later the alarm will go off if you don't wake up with the light. It has a bright dial which I love because it acts as a little night light too. I finished redecorating another room and ordered the other Big Ben alarm clock for that. This is a great clock for those who don't want a bright dial but a dial that glows in the dark. The alarm is more subtle than the Moonbeam clock but it will wake you up. I highly recommend either of these clocks.
I bought the clock in celadon and love it. It's nice and big and has a faint ticking which I love. Have been looking for one for quite some time and this one fit the bill. Good price too.
I was very pleased with this clock....actually I was pleasantly surprised..I thought it would be a "Wind-up" like my old one from years ago...but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was battery operated....it was a bit heavier than I thought but I was very pleased with the look and function of this clock.
