A fine looking clock with large numbers, easy alarm setting and heavy metal body. The main problem is a very loud motor! This basic quart motor required cotton batting to muffle the ticking,which helped somewhat. Because I love the aesthetic of this clock, it was never returned & so it goes.....
I love my new Big Ben - I originally wanted a 1930's replica, but am happy with this one. The ticking is faint enough that I can sleep. The "off" button for the alarm requires a bit of fumbling, which is my only complaint. I bought it for its looks, and am not disappointed.
Clock looks very nice and worked fine until it was about 4 months old. Ticking became so loud we had to remove it from bedroom as it was distrubing sleep. Did not want to chance getting another one and having same thing happen so returned it.
